[edit] Recurring Events Before Jan 1, 1970
Lightning only ships with timezone data that goes as far back as Jan 1, 1970. This means any recurring event that you create in Thunderbird / Lightning 0.5 will have the wrong start date (or end date) if you set the start (or end date) before Jan 1, 1970. The Mozilla calendar team know about it: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353381 This also affects data sync'd into Thunderbird via syncSW.
[edit] PreferMailFormat
Thunderbird just won't accept a 'PreferMailFormat' value. This means that the value will always be lost during a sync for the 'Prefers to receive messages formatted as:' setting. Workaround: this can be overcome by setting the global setting in Thunderbird for HTML/Plain Text. Tools->Options. Click on Composition. Under the General tab Click the button 'Send Options'. Sending as Plain Text and HTML makes it readable for all.
[edit] Starting From The Command Line
If you start Thunderbird from the command line in Linux and CTRL-C to stop Thunderbird, Thunderbird will not store any preference changes to disk (Thunderbird bug).
[edit] syncSW Client
Note that when the configuration wizard asks for "email" and "password", you must enter your ScheduleWorld account information, not Google account information.
