I was going to add this list of default settings for anyone who had messed with things and wanted to get back to defaults, but Mark beat me to it and put them here already.

Here's what I had written in case it's useful anyway:

The above "You need to change 3 values" might only apply to fresh installs. Some of us who've been using prior client versions may have messed with other settings... I've written the following based on what I have today. It seems to work but I'm suspicious that recurring events are disappearing... Please feel free to edit all this to reflect the best known settings/config.

Here's a list of 'Advanced' settings as they should be:

• Contacts
  • Sync direction: Two way? (is it any safer to use one way Outlook->Server?)
  • Remote name: ? ( I have scard)
  • Data Format: ? (I have SIF, should it be vCard?)
• Calendar
  • Sync direction: Two way? (is it any safer to use one way Outlook->Server?)
  • Remote name: ? ( I have scal)
  • Data Format: ? (I have SIF, should it be vCalendar?)
• Tasks ( I have disabled this for now)
  • Sync direction: ?
  • Remote name: ?
  • Data Format: ?
• Notes
  • Sync direction: Two way? (is it any safer to use one way Outlook->Server?)
  • Remote name: ? ( I have snote)
  • Data Format: SIF (doesn't seem to be an alternative here)
