Microsoft Outlook is popular choice of PIM data program on Windows for daily users.

[edit] Configure Funambol Plugins

  1. Download the Funambol client for Outlook from here[[1]]
  2. Install Funambol Outlook Plug-in
  3. Run the Funambol Outlook Plug-in
  4. Select from Tools->Options
  5. Enter following to Server location: http://sync.scheduleworld.com/funambol/ds
  6. Enter your username and password
  7. In the Sync option tab, click on box for your desired content (contacts, calendar, tasks and notes).
    1. For Contacts, click on Details, and make sure the SIF for data format is selected, the remote name field should show scard
    2. For calendar, make sure the SIF for data format is selected, the remote name field should show scal
    3. For calendar, make sure the SIF for data format is selected, the remote name field should show stask
    4. Everything else can be left as it is
  8. Select Scheduler, and allow Synchronize every 1 hour or more. Please do not set the scheduler to sync more often than once every 30 minutes. This helps keep the load on the server down.
  9. Do NOT select encryption option [encryption] box. Encryption is only enabled in one direction and this causes problems with the client.

  • Why there is no photos in the Outlook contact? It was showed on all my other clients?

It is likely that you choose wrong data format to sync.

  1. Please go to Funambol Outlook Plug-in -> tools -> Options -> Details... for Contacts -> select SIF for the data format, and it should show scard for Remote name.
  2. Do a Recovery sync by Tools -> Recover -> Replace all of the Outlook data with data from the server -> select Contacts.

This should then solve the issue.

  • Why is my Calendar data not sync but all others did?

Once again it is likely that you choose wrong data format to sync.

  1. Please go to Funambol Outlook Plug-in -> tools -> Options -> Details... for Calendar -> select SIF for the data format, and it should show scal for Remote name.
  2. Do a Recovery sync by Tools -> Recover -> Replace all of the Outlook data with data from the server -> select Calendar.

This should then solve the issue.
