If you haven't taken a look at Thunderbird recently you probably should. It makes a great email client, and if you install the Lightning and SyncSW (Sync ScheduleWorld) add-ons it becomes a powerful tool you can use to manage your contacts, calendars, and task lists across all of your equipment with everyone you know.

The SyncSW add-on provides synchronization features to sync Thunderbird contacts, calendars, and todos with ScheduleWorld. It can also be used to trigger a Google Calendar or Google Mail (contacts) sync with ScheduleWorld.
