How Do I Share Calendars

From Sw

Jump to: navigation, search

Calendar sharing enables you to grant other people access your calendars. You can grant others full read/write access or limited read-only access. People that have read-only access to a calendar can still sync that calendar - the server will just ignore any add/update/delete operations from those people.

[edit] The First Step

The first step is always to sign up for a ScheduleWorld account!

  1. Enter the email address of the person you wish to share your calendar with.
  2. Choose read/write or read-only. If you grant read-only the recipient will not be able to change your calendar but the recipient will still be able to sync your calendar using SyncML or view/sync your calendar using the web browser application.
  3. Click 'Grant Sharing'.

[edit] Finished

Once you click 'Grant Permission' the calendar is instantly shared if the email is already registered to a ScheduleWorld user.

If the email does not belong to an existing ScheduleWorld user that person will receive an email inviting them to join ScheduleWorld. When the person signs up the calendar sharing process will finish and your friend will have access to your calendar.

[edit] How Do I Stop Sharing?

After you share a calendar you'll note a 'Revoke Sharing' button appear beside the email you invited to share. Simply click the 'Revoke Sharing' button to stop sharing.
