How Do I Restore Using ScheduleWorld Backups

ScheduleWorld has set the bar for personal information management / synchronization backup and restore. No other service in the world --MarkSwanson 14:59, 9 January 2009 (EST) allows you to selectively restore old data so quickly and easily.

[edit] How Do I Restore

1. Click the Backup / Restore icon (near the bottom right preferences icon).
2. Open the tree view where you want to restore from.
   1. For example: '5' contains the snapshot ScheduleWorld made 5 days ago.
3. Select the type of data you want to restore (events, tasks, contacts).
4. The bigger panel on the right will now contain your data as it existed on the day you selected. SHIFT-click or CTRL-click the items you want restored.
5. Click the 'Restore Selected Items' button on the top toolbar.

Notes are not available yet.

[edit] Issues

The date beside the snapshot day does not reflect the date the snapshot data was made, but the date the snapshot was made available to the backup service. This will soon be changed to the date the snapshot was made.

Snapshots are consistently made daily between midnight and 5AM America/Toronto time.
