1. The first thing is to sign up for a ScheduleWorld account!
2. You will need some software on your phone which will talk to the service and sync your data which supports "SyncML". For most phones the software is pre-installed, freely available or available at a low cost. This includes:
   1. All Nokia N series and E series have this software pre-installed.
   2. Other Nokia phones have the SyncML software available on the CD that was shipped with the phone.
   3. Treo phones go here.
   4. Blackberry phones download funambol-blackberry-plugin-3.0.8.zip.
3. Configure the software on your phone to connect to ScheduleWorld. Here's examples for many popular phones:
   1. Nokia (Menu -> Connect -> Sync)
      1. Options -> New sync profile
      2. Connection Settings
         1. Data bearer: Internet
         2. Server Version: 1.1 (at least for Nokia E51)
         3. Access point: Your choice
         4. Host Address: http://sync.scheduleworld.com/funambol/ds
         5. Port: 80
         6. Username: Your ScheduleWorld account ID (number was emailed to you after you signed up) or the email you signed up with.
         7. Password: The same password you use to log in to ScheduleWorld with.
         8. Network authentic: No

         1. Contacts
            1. Include in sync: Yes
            2. 'Remote Database': card
         2. Calendar
            1. Include in sync: Yes
            2. 'Remote Database': cal
         3. Notes
            1. Include in sync: Yes
            2. 'Remote Database': note
   2. Sony Ericsson (Settings -> Connectivity -> Synchronization)
      1. Server Address: http://sync.scheduleworld.com/funambol/ds
      2. Username: Your ScheduleWorld account ID (number was emailed to you after you signed up) or the email you signed up with.
      3. Password: The same password you use to log in to ScheduleWorld with.
      4. Applications
         1. Contacts (set the checkbox)
         2. Calendar (set the checkbox)
         3. Tasks (set the checkbox)
         4. Notes (set the checkbox)
      5. App. Settings
         1. Contacts - Database Name: card
         2. Calendar - Database Name: cal
         3. Tasks - Database Name: task
         4. Notes - Database Name: note
      6. Remote Security - leave these blank.
   3. Everyone else: The options will be worded similar to the above.

After you do your first sync, you should go to the preferences page and click the 'Edit Settings' button for your phone. You can limit the number of emails sync'd to your phone, or limit the types of phone numbers. You will see that there are a number options available to help you tune your sync the way you want.
