Advanced Configuration

There are a number of powerful configuration options that can dynamically decide if items should be considered as well as transform your data during a SyncML session. These advanced options are available by clicking 'Edit Settings' Image:SwPrefsEditSettings.png on the HTML preferences page.

[edit] Synchronizing Specific Calendars

There is a feature that let's you sync a specific calendar instead of the default. Add a '?cal=X' parameter like this:

http://sync.ScheduleWorld.com/funambol/ds?cal=X

where 'X' is the iCalendarID - you can get this number from your preferences page. It will be in the URL for freebusy etc - like ../123.ifb

Note: At the moment you can't use SyncML MD5 authentication with the '?cal=X' feature. If you're using SyncEvolution you can change from MD5 to BASIC authentication by modifying the config.txt file like this:

clientAuthType = syncml:auth-basic
serverAuthType = syncml:auth-basic

[edit] Assign Categories To Outgoing Items

  1. This feature can be uniquely configured for each SyncML device.
  2. You can find it on the preferences page, click 'Edit Settings' for a specific device, select the 'Miscellaneous' tab.
  3. Enter one or more (comma separated) categories in the 'Send Categories To Device' text field.
  4. These categories are not actually added to the server item, they are dynamically added to the item on its way from ScheduleWorld to the SyncML device/software. If you sync from the client into ScheduleWorld, then the server will have these categories.

NOTE: This will be changed shortly to be able to apply these settings to individual calendars.
